Multi-Generational Mentorship Program
Beginning mid-July and running for 5 weeks, the Multi-Generational Mentorship Program will take place across the Nations of Ahousaht, Hesquiaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Mowachaht/Muchalaht, and Ehattesaht Chinehkint. Each Nation will participate in five mentored fishing trips guided by experienced fishers, along with one day of hands-on learning in traditional fish smoking and one day focused on jarring techniques. The program also includes community-wide knowledge sharing days led by local Knowledge Holders and Elders, fostering cultural revitalization and connection to land and sea.
When: July – August 2025
Who can attend: This workshop is open to families from the Ahousaht, Hesquiaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Mowachaht/Muchalaht and Ehattesaht Chinehkint First Nations.
